2023 Dry Creek Valley Grenache Blanc - Proxy Wines

2023 Dry Creek Valley Grenache Blanc

The 2023 Grenache Blanc was sourced from the Mounts Family Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley AVA of Sonoma County. The Grenache Blanc is tucked in a low-lying part of the vineyard where it can benefit from warm summer days, but is still reached by the cooling influences of the nearby Russian River.

In the nose, the wine shows notes of orange blossom, honey, and candied peach. The silky, weighty mouth is explosive with white peach, guava, and passionfruit.

2023 El Dorado County Chenin Blanc - Proxy Wines

2023 El Dorado County Chenin Blanc

The 2023 El Dorado County Chenin Blanc is sourced from a vineyard nestled in the Sierra Foothills, originally planted in the 1850's to supply wine for the growing population of miners settling the area in search of gold. The 2023 growing season saw a late start due to heavy Sierra snow, and at almost 2000 ft of elevation, the Chenin was shaped by intense sunshine and granite-dominant soils.

The grapes were hand-harvested and whole cluster pressed, then fermented in stainless steel. The resulting wine is heady with aromas of lemon, mandarin orange, and a touch of honeydew melon. In the mouth the wine shows bright acidity with pronounced notes of gardenia and jasmine, with compelling hints of wet stone and beeswax.

2022 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir Hogan's Run Vineyard - Proxy Wines

2022 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir Hogan's Run Vineyard

The 2022 Pinot Noir hails from Hogan's Run Vineyard in the iconic Russian River Valley. During the growing season the Russian River acts as a fog funnel, carrying cooling Pacific breezes to temper the inland warmth of Sonoma County. The resulting microclimate balances warmth with overnight fog and is a dream for Pinot Noir.

On the nose the wine is extroverted with expressive aromas of rose petal, orange peel, and strawberries. The wine's weighty mouth weaves silky tannins together with buoyant flavors of toffee, strawberries, and lingering vanilla and cinnamon throughout the finish.
